About Me
- Name: George Mason
- Location: Honolulu, Hawai'i
I have a BS (Geosciences) and MS (Meteorology) from the University of Hawai'i. I wrote my Master's thesis on surf forecasting and published the first regular surf forecast in the Honolulu Advertiser in 1975. I was also the first radio and TV weatherman in the Islands, and was the Hawai'i forecaster for Surfline for over a dozen years. I have done weather consulting for many film productions including Windtalkers, Point Break, Jurassic Park, Men of Waimea, Waterworld, George of the Jungle, Mighty Joe Young, Hawai’I Five-0 pilot, 6 Days/7 Nights. I have done extensive mediation for the former Neighborhood Justice Center and speak fluent Spanish.
